Los Angles, CA - August 2007 - Publishing Executive and Printing Impressions magazines, co-sponsors of the Annual Gold Ink Awards, announced that Bert-Co has won a Bronze award. The entry, titled Wynton Marsalis: In This House, On This Day, won in the Packaging Multimedia category.
The Geneon Entertainment package is a set-up box with a DVD tray surrounded by a raised edge. The package opens like a book and in-turn the raised edges simulate old pages of a hymnal. "Wynton Marsalis; In This House, On This Morning" title along with a gold trumpet are embossed and foil stamped. "The final passes of the Wynton package truly gives it an excellent effect; the gold pops out at you and gives the package an authentic look," states Sara Torres, Marketing Manager at Bert-Co.
This year's Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from 1,500 entries submitted within 50 different categories. Winning pieces surpassed their competitors based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect. Pieces are judged by print buyers, graphic artists, and production managers.
The Annual Gold Ink Awards Banquet, held to honor the winners, will take place Monday evening, September 10th at McCormick Place in Chicago during the Graph Expo 2007. For information on attending or for reserves visit www.goldink.com or contact Mike Cooper at (215) 238-5434 or mcooper@napco.com.
